With the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in India, government bodies faced tremendous pressure to identify, manage, and control the spread of the virus while safeguarding community well-being. The sheer volume of cases and other touchpoints to be addressed was well beyond what could be managed manually – from testing and contact tracing to vaccine administration. With the rapid spread of COVID-19 there aroused a supply demand shortage in Ventilators, Monitors, deep freezers and other essential equipment. In response, the Karnataka Government proactively sought technology support to improve visibility, monitoring and control over the situation.
SunBio’s integrated technology plan for pandemic management unified the city’s COVID task force onto a single digital platform, thereby helping identify and supply the equipment quickly and efficiently. The system also integrated modules for managing different equipment and monitoring their availability, usability and maintenance. This allowed the task force to Monitor essential equipment and track, trace their usability, and automatically initiate preventive maintenance. Thus, helping the Government to take charge of the situation and enabling the task-force to manage the resources, essential equipment & their respective parameters to respond swiftly.
